Rubeus - Leopard Gecko

Rubeus the Leopard Gecko may just be the largest leopard gecko we have ever seen. At nearly 10 inches long, he is quite the monster for a gecko. When he was surrendered to the sanctuary, we just knew he would make a great ambassador.

Rubeus - Leopard Gecko

Rubeus came to the sanctuary in March of 2024 when he was surrendered from a loving home that wanted him to go somewhere where he would get the attention he deserved. After meeting Rubeus and getting to know him, we knew the sanctuary would be a good home for him long term.

As a half Giant Leopard Gecko, Rubeus is named after Rubeus Hagrid from Harry Potter. He is a loving gecko that truly seems to enjoy the company of those who interact with him. He is one of our go to animals to bring to our shows with us, as he works well for a wide variety of audiences.

If you want a near universally loved lizard to be your sponsored ambassador, or just love Harry Potter, Rubeus may just be the gecko for you! As a plus sized ambassador, he truly is just a big teddy bear!
