Tsuchinoko (Tsuchi)

Tsuchi is a Blue Tongue Skink from the island of Halmahera in Indonesia. As the name suggests, he has a blue tongue that his species can flash at incoming predators to catch them off guard. Being a skink, their appearance is that of a sausage-like body and stubby legs, making them an ideal animal for presentations, as they are very non-threatening.

All about Tsuchi

Tsuchi the blue tongue skink was first taken in by the sanctuary as an animal ambassador in October 2020. Since then, he has had the opportunity to serve as an educational animal at a variety of programs including visiting multiple schools and presentations for us.

In his spare time, Tsuchi serves as our number one advocate for Spock's Sanctuary's NutriCubes. He has been enjoying these cubes since long before they came to the market, and allows us the opportunity to test our products first hand before we put it out to the public, to ensure that it is not only nutritious, but appealing to our scaly customer base.

Tsuchi would serve as a great sponsorship opportunity for any individuals or companies wanting to support an animal that represents the importance of a balanced diet, or the broad adaptations in the animal kingdom.
